Overview
More detail in every frame.
The MegaVision Q25 combines a 245 MP-class Sony IMX811 back-illuminated monochrome CMOS sensor with native 16-bit output and active cooling. Final mechanics and interfaces are defined by the selected MegaVision system.
With 19,240 × 12,840 active pixels and a 2.81 µm pixel pitch, the Q25 captures fine detail across a large field of view. FD 2 × 2 charge-domain binning provides another acquisition option for applications that need a different balance of resolution, sensitivity and readout speed.
Product information
Exceptional detail
A 245 MP-class sensor captures fine structures and subtle surface information across a large medium-format imaging area.
FD 2 × 2 binning
Combines signals from neighboring pixels before conversion, for greater signal sensitivity.
Low-noise imaging
Active cooling helps reduce dark current during extended exposures, while selectable acquisition modes support varied imaging needs.
Designed for specialist imaging
- Cultural heritage and multispectral documentation
- Scientific and measurement-focused imaging
- Forensic examination
- Fine-art reproduction
- High-resolution archival capture

Native 16-bit conversion
The sensor provides native 16-bit analog-to-digital conversion with up to 65,536 digital levels. This supports precise tonal sampling and flexible scientific or specialist image processing.
Back-illuminated sensor
The back-illuminated design allows incoming light to reach the photosensitive region with reduced obstruction from front-side wiring, supporting efficient photon collection and strong sensitivity.
FD 2 × 2 binning
Charge-domain FD 2 × 2 binning combines neighboring pixel signals before conversion, offering a lower-resolution capture mode. Confirm available binning modes in the delivered Q25 system.
Anti-dew protection and cooling
Two-stage thermoelectric cooling helps reduce sensor temperature and dark current. Confirm optical-window heating, chamber design and optional liquid cooling for the final Q25 configuration.
