One of the issues some of you may face is the possibility that you will not be allowed to access certain features of the T2 software. Others may be excluded from using Photoshop. If you work in one of the high volume photo studios, you may want to look into honing your craft after hours or, on a different computer if the T2 camera is not available after hours.
Whenever and where ever possible, we recommend that all shooters have access to all of the T2 features as well as Photoshop. That is a privilege that you must respect. Do not waste time fixing bad photography in Photoshop. That is the type of abuse that can get Photoshop withdrawn from your experience and it will be to your detriment. The same goes for Photoshoot software. If you abuse it you may lose it.
It is our belief that a properly trained digital shooter will efficiently use those tools available, and use them appropriately. Uneducated photographers tend to get in trouble with tools (like Photoshop) they dont know how to use. As is often the case, the solution is education. The successful digital photography profit motive is more than strong enough to offset the cost of a Photoshop license. Additionally, some images will not be finished until the image emerges from some of Photoshops editing functions. Those edits should take place while the product is still on the set. If the edit needs refinement, relighting, or reshooting, it should be performed while the camera is still focussed, while the photographer is still concentrating on that image. Recreating the image hours, or days, or weeks later, can only make the job of reshooting more difficult.
If you find yourself in the predicament where you cannot get access to Photoshop or some of the Photoshoot features, contact your MegaVision Tech Support Specialist and discuss your situation. Perhaps there is a way we can help. We do plan to implement a series of workshops (well let you know as this gets closer to reality) and we also do custom training on-site. Consider your time valuable, make the most if it whenever you get the chance to shoot.
