Settings optimized for frequent use and for special targets or clients can be applied without having to make them anew each and every time. This ability to reapply existing data files encompasses three levels, Setup files, data files, and function files. Setup files include Capture Curve, Range, Overlay, and Preferences files. Data file application include Sharpen, Convert, and Program. Function files include Crop, Neutral, and Tone. Lets explore how to use this functionality.
Make several folders in the Photoshoot folder, name these folders Tone Curves, Overlay Masks, S2 Preferences, Neutral Programs, Tone Corrections and CMYK. Each of these folders are designated locations for the storage of data you frequently apply in Photoshoot software. Each of the functions that relate to the folders allow the saving of data files unique to the functions folder. If you would like to save a functions application, choose Save and you can navigate to the Photoshoot folder, then to the folder whose name corresponds to the function youre wanting to save. Save the functions parameters in the appropriate folder after naming the parameters. Use names that allow the easy selection of the parameters youre looking to apply. Client names, paper targets, and parameter setting are good choices.
To automatically use these data files, enable each of the folders; File>Folder Setup>Data. The software will allow you to navigate to the appropriate folder youd like the software to automatically guide you to. The Photoshoot folder is a good choice as it contains all of the aforementioned folders youve made.
