MegaVision's FirePower options provide the power to shoot images directly into a PC laptop computer. Because location photography does not always allow wall powered electricity (mains), battery power is often required. FirePower batteries are available in two lithium ion configurations; the FirePower SnapPac Module and the FirePower Battery. The FirePower batteries are ideal for location photography because the batteries supply power to any firewire powered device. Now you can enjoy both the mobility and flexibility of firewire in the smallest package available.

FirePower batteries are available in a laptop sized cell of 11.1 volts with a 6.6 amp hour rating. This battery is capable of powering the E Series cameras continuously for 7 hours from a full charge.

Also available is a FirePower SnapPac which uses Canon configuration 7.4 volt Lithium Ion batteris in series. Two sizes are available, a standard sized 650 mAh battery and an optional 1800 mAh battery. The SnapPac supplies power to the E Series back and provided data transfer between the E Series Back and the OQO computer.

FirePower batteries can supply power for all you can shoot in an hour (650 mAh), all you can shoot in 2 hours (1800 mAh), and all you can shoot in a day (6.6 Ah).

The MegaVision Firepower SnapPac battery module allows truly portable, handheld shooting with the E Series/OQO computer combination. The SnapPac provides power to the E Series and provides data flow between the 6 pin (Firewire IEEE 1394) E Series ports to the OQO's 4 pin computer port. The SnapPac battery module uses Canon form factor Lithium Ion batteries, suppllied in either the 650mAh or the optional 1800 mAh capacity. These batteries will power the E Series back continuously for 1 and 3 hours. The SnapiPac battery module comes complete with battery holder, 2 Li-Ion batteries and a battery charger. If your shooting is predictable, the power swtith on the E Series can save energy when you're not shooting.

The FirePower SnapPac Kit includes a SnapPac sled, two 650 mAh lithium-ion batteries and two chargers. Higher capacity 1800 mAh batteries are an available option. The above illustration shows standard 650 mAh and optional 1800 mAh batteries for comparison purposes only.
