MegaVision's experience in digital photography and image processing has led to advances in other important digital imaging market segments, where there is an increased demand for high quality digital images.

  Medical

High quality five-Megapixel digital images are replacing film and supplanting existing one-Megapixel images currently used in retinal imaging. MegaVision's high resolution, high dynamic-range images have set a new standard in ophthalmic imaging, as the quality is proving to be better than conventional film. Diagnoses can be performed far more rapidly and accurately than before with the clearer detail provided by the increased dynamic range and greater resolution.

MegaVision's S242 digital back hardware and software provide image dimensions appropriate to the fundus cameras used in Ophthalmology. With its small footprint, fast download speeds, and ability to capture color and monochrome images over a 4-stop light range, there is no other digital back available with equivalent performance, resolution, and image size.

  Industrial

Advances in manufacturing technology have given rise to increased complexity of manufactured assemblies, which in turn are demanding increased sophistication and resolution of machine vision in industrial applications such as printed circuit board inspection. Color capture solutions developed by MegaVision are providing hitherto unrealized color image inspection capabilities to machine vision system integrators.

  Aerial

Recent advances in CCD's, GPS, inertial monitoring, and computers have broadened the horizons of digital aerial photography. With appropriate integration, MegaVision digital backs provide visible and near IR images of unprecedented quality. These images are automatically correlated to ground-based mapping systems with high accuracy by system integrators, such as Pixel Physics.
